Blurred text on Retina screen - note blur is 64 (2^6) pixels wide

1. Please update the System Requirements to state the maximum screen resolution supported.

The System Requirements web page at https://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/source/sys_reqs_aoo41.html states "1024 x 768 pixel or higher resolution with at least 256 colors (16.7 million colors recommended)" There is no maximum given.

See [Solved] Blurry Text Documents at https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=92135 where an Apple MacBook Retina with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 or 2880 x 1800 produced blurred text. The blurred text was fixed by operating the MacBook at a reduced screen resolution.

Retina screens are now available with resolutions up to 5120 x 2880. See Using a Retina Display at https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202471.

Higher screen resolutions will inevitably follow, and also be available to Windows users, which is likely to increase the number of instances of the "fault" being reported to the forum.

2. It would be an advantage if, during the installation, the user was told the maximum screen resolution supported and/or an error message was given if the screen exceeded the maximum resolution supported.

[My screen is 1920 x 1280 and has no problems]

I do not have any problem with either my 13" (2560 x 1600) or 15" MacBook Pros (2880 x 1800).
I have not seen any reports of anyone using an iMac 5K (5120 x 2880) having this problem.

The user refered to is using a 2017 MacBook (2304 x 1440).
I think his problem is hardware related.

Please note the bug report was not raised to resolve the user's problem, but to publish the maximum supported screen resolution, or to say there is no maximum.
