Description jmpoo 2019-11-12 15:08:11 UTC
AOO 4.2 and 4.5
including Jims 4.2 testbuild from 24.10.19 and fresh 4.5. buildbot-build from 10.11.19
Linux Mint 18.3 and 19.2 (based on Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04)

Open Writer
insert a table with e.g. 5x5 cells
chose 2 horizontal cells in the 2nd line and merge
chose 2 horizontal cells in the 4th line
Writer closes immediately

Works in AOO 4.1.7

I am not able to reproduce this on Xubuntu 18.04.3 with Jims build from 24.10.19.

Can you provide a crash file?
Comment 2 jmpoo 2019-11-13 08:48:36 UTC
No special file.

Tried again after your hint.

It seems to depend on the number of table cells. At 5x5 and less there is really no crash.

Please try again with a 5x6 or 6x6 matrix or larger.

What I meant was a crash report. Usually to be found in /var/crash:
_opt_openoffice4_program_soffice.bin.1000.crash

Did that... Still no crash (for me).

Have you tried with a fresh AOO profile?

Thanks for the crash report and the video. Hopefully a developer can have a look at it.

I am still not able to reproduce *this* crash on Xubuntu 18.04 and Ubuntu 18.04.

But I got a similar crash on Ubuntu 16.04 with AOO 4.1.7 when first merging cells and then trying to split cells. Still investigating...
