After sorting, sometimes after multiple sorts, data from the sorted sheet is lost & replaced by data from another sheet. It seemed impossible but it happened!

This has happened with OO .14, 13 & 12. It may have happened earlier but large sorts with OO are a new thing for me.

Separately, Word Perfect had a wonderful feature F3 which displayed the embedded control characters within the text. This was very useful when multiple controls, e,g, underline, bold, & italic get mixed up. To correct it, delete everything & replace them correctly. With F3, just delete the mixed-up controls & replace them. Also MS Word places a large number of control characters at the beginning of very file. Most of them are paired and so have no effect, e.g., BOLD on, BOLD off. Why it does this, I don't know but it inflates the size of every file.

Again, I wanted to retain deleted text by crossing it out. When reporting reality there can be a need to show that text was entered & then deleted or crossed out. Sometimes it is useful to show what happened.
