Crash upon launch on MacOS 14.1.2 Sonoma
Last modified: 2024-01-06 10:10:45 UTC
Created attachment 87205 [details] Crash report in Console. I'm a long, long time Open Office user. Expect: After install, launching OpenOffice.app will show the initial user interface. Result: launching results in the application silently crashing. (See attached log.) 1 Remove previous install of OpenOffice, then downloaded/installed a fresh distribution of "Milestone AOO4115m2 | Build ID 9813". 2 option-click to launch OpenOffice.app, select open 3 nothing appears to happen, but Console reveals the attached crash app log. Here is an excerpt (full log attached): **************************************************************************** ------------------------------------- Translated Report (Full Report Below) ------------------------------------- Process: soffice [78486] Path: /Applications/OpenOffice.app/Contents/MacOS/soffice Identifier: org.openoffice.script Version: 4.1.15 (???) I considered that user settings might cause this, so I renamed the ".../user" folder to "user.old" When I restarted OpenOffice it crashed and didn't make a new "user" folder.
The machine is a 2019 Intel i9 Mac Book Pro, 32MB RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB.
I am not a real macOS user, but the machine I have access to is running macOS 14.2.1 (M1 processor) and OpenOffice runs fine... Maybe you could try to update the OS to the latest version, Apple seems very busy in fixing bugs at the moment.
