hi
for the last month it seems as if messages posted to users@openoffice.org from
non-subscribed persons have not been making it to the moderation queue.  I am
one of the moderators and have not seen, anyway, any moderation, and have tested
this by sending messages from nonsubscribed or allowed email addresses. It's
possible the messages are going somewhere...but where?

this is fairly important, as Users@ is our most heavily-trafficked list and is
greatly used by many people with questions.
please see if the list is behaving as it should.  thanks

Action plan:
1) test and confirm the behavior using a test project and it's mailing
lists
2) file internal issue for the appropriate engineering team based on
my results
3) update this issue when the internal PCN has been updated
I tested using andreas's test project on the site. I was not able to
make a new mail list due to an anzu error. I filed PCN 16325 for the
operations group to forward me copies of any error logs and/or
investigate the service.

moderation works fine for discuss@openoffice.org and for just about
every other list that I can think of, *except* for users@openoffice.org.

for now, this is being investigate in tandem with issue 12834

uhm. I'm an idiot. you can quote me. I had accidentally deleted myself
from moderation of users@ but had left the other moderators.  That is
why I was not receiving mail.  I was listed as owner and subscribed
but not moderator.
