Martin, if you want to have a target in the nearer future, please take
care of this issue.

the 11beta2 has build on sparc linux with gcc-3.3 and actually runs
with the sd module. 

but modules sc, dbaccess and sw had problems linking at end of
building.I wonder if this is related to issue  15352? for IRIX: "On
1.1 beta 2 the size of the sc library is larger, hence a larger
lgot_buffer is required to link the library." 

i would really appreciate if you can put me in contact with someone
who has the time and is interested to help me get this last step
completed for the sparc linux build :)
