e.g. L10N+l10n, dababase access+dba, work processor+sw, ...
I don't know how this list is generated, but on t-OOo is was NOT an 1-1 relation
between products and projects.

Stefan, this is an easy fix; if you want to undertake it yourself, I'd be happy 

to walk you through it.



The components are generated automatically when a project is created. 

But they are easily administered via the IZ edit components interface - this 

includes editing or deleting entire compoents.



If you click on the 'edit components' link (logged in as an admin) you will 

see the list. Each entry has a 'delete' link. Simply run down the row and 

edit or delete as you wish.



I'll be happy to do this as well if you can let me know which duplicates 

you'd like removed.

Deleting is easy, but let me explain why it seems difficult to me how to 
proceed.
As said there is no 1-1 releation between IZ components and t-OOo projects.
t-OOo IZ has the component "word processor" and project sw.
In sc-OOo we find both as a component.
a) delete "word processor" -> all existing "word processor" issues have to be 
moved to "sw" (and Michael will complain about the loss of the better name).
b) delete "sw" -> links and functionality on project home page / issue 
tracking / Enter Defect or Task or ... are wrong.
c) What about the project graphics. On t-OOo IZ it has 3 components.

Do we need
1) a way to configure the default component for a project?
This would result in changed links on project home page / issue tracking / 
Enter Defect or Task or ...
2) an automated way to move issues from component a to b

Changing priority and type to reflect post-migration task of clearing out the 
IZ components list of duplicates. Other problems associated with this 
issue are resolved.

and to add how they will be solved:
We will be using the old component names.
We will delete the new (unused) components
When new projects are created, their components will be automatically
generated.

Is complete, but keep in mind that components are created on project
request (not approval).
They have to be deleted after disapproval.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved
<wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details.
