Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 13549
OO 1.0. cannot create .ppt files (crash)
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:54:41 UTC
Hello, a strange problem with OO 1.0.3 (english, binary package). It's impossible to create any .ppt file : OO crashes with the message : /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.3/program/soffice.bin: relocation error: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.0.3/program/libsvx641li.so: symbol _ZN15ImplEscherExSdrC1ER8EscherEx, version UDK_3_0_0 not defined in file libcppuhelper3gcc3.so with link time reference It seems that version 1.0.2 works fine. The system is linux/debian(testing). Youp.
Reassigned to Christian.
I sort of reproduced it with 1.0.3 on red hat 8, but only under gdb. As soon as I try to create a new presentation, the program aborts. I'll attach a stack dump for completeness' sake; it looks like a relocation error (though I don't get that same message), so I bet it's the same thing. FWIW, see also http://sources.redhat.com/ml/bug-glibc/2003-02/msg00046.html http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=175228l Finally, I can't reproduce this with ooo1.1beta1, with or without gdb. Can the original poster try with OpenOffice1.1beta and see if that fixes it?
Created attachment 6209 [details] Stack dump of problem happening with ooo1.0.3 under gdb on rh8

Looks like there's a workaround for ooo1.0.3, even. See issue 11706. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 11706 ***
