Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 14676
Formula imports result in huge formulas (1.1beta2)
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:55:10 UTC
When importing formulas from an ms ppt presentation (with conversion on) they are displayed in a very large box, while if you edit the equation you'll see something like 12pt size! If you copy the equation script and paste in again into a newly inserted equation box it displays ok. So, it seems like the size of the display box for the equation is somehow magnified. I'll attach a sample .ppt file.

MRU->CL: Object conversion has to be enabled. The objects content itself is converted well. But the size is not suitable when converted from ppt. Regression from OO 1.0. Should fix it for 1.1.
Now correct target.
I think this is a powerpoint issue
SJ: This bug has been fixed now. And there is a workaround, just change the option in options/presentation/general and use the printer for formatting. The fix takes place in svx/source/msfilter/msdffimp.cxx for cws[draw15].
code review done
SJ->MRU: This bug is now ready to be tested in cws[draw15],
Fixed.
Verified the fix in CWS draw15. The fix will be available in OO 1.1 RC.
Fix integrated in OO 1.1 RC.
