For the 1.1 Beta2 install, there is no slide, picture show
during install.  Instead, there is a big white space where
this was in the 1.0.3 install.

This has been an announced 'change' for installation.

I'm reopening this issue as a feature request.  If it isn't too much 
trouble putting the slide show back in (the code is obviously already 
written), please do so.  This makes the product look better and 
easier to market.

I think that there isn't much hope. For 1.x I don't see a chance for
this change, for 2.0 it's intended to switch to native installer.

The Issue you raised has the status 'New' pending further action, but has not
been updated within the last 4 years. Please consider re-testing with one of the
latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been addressed.
