Description sanchezr 2003-06-03 03:34:58 UTC
I recently tried to install Beta2 alongside the previous Beta version. I
untar'd the archive into /tmp, executed the install script (as root with
--prefix=/opt) and then executed the setup script (as normal user). When it
came time to choose the install type, I was only presented with three choices,
"Full," "Minimum," and "Custom." There is not more "Workstation" option.

I tried the install several time, trying each option at least once. But each
time I ended up with nearly 200 MB of program files in ~/OpenOffice1.1/

This seems a little strange to me.

I can't reproduce: I've made an installation of beta1 with './install
--prefix=/opt', started a local installation as user. Then I started
'./install --prefix=/opt' from beta2 and made the local installation
as user: ok. I can make the workstation installation without problems.
Hvae you started the setup srcipt of in /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1Beta2
with parameter -net?
