To reproduce:
1. open document (new or existing - doesn't matter)
2. turn on freeze function (in Window menu)

Problem1: The Save button on the toolbar does not indicate that the document has
changed.

3. edit some field to cause the Save button to become active
4. save document in .xls format (tried both Excel 97/2000/XP and Excel 95)
5. close document
6. open document

Problem2: The freeze function status has been reset (turned off).

It worked fine in OOo 1.1 Beta. Documents saved in OOo 1.1 Beta with the freeze
function on also have the freeze function turned off when they are opened in OOo
1.1 Beta2.

Thanks for reporting this. It looks like this is a duplicate of issue
