Description Unknown 2003-06-12 12:31:36 UTC
On one of my machines everything is fine; on the other there is a
screen-handling bug in which the font is seen as very wide (so huge spaces are
shown between characters, and the page width is shown as very great). The
printed result is correct, so it's a screen problem. Another symptom is that in
the RH window of the help browser the lines are truncated to about 5 characters.
All Open office appears affected, all the other Red Hat 9 applications are OK.
It's RH9 out of the box. Display is SIS6326 in 1024 by 768.
The package is unusable on this machine.

Please attach the document to reproduce the bug.
Comment 4 christian.guenther 2003-09-24 14:53:37 UTC
I change the resolution to 'Works for me'.
Please tell me if you can still reproduce the bug.
Comment 5 Unknown 2003-09-28 10:10:26 UTC
The bug is still present, nothing has changed, I have not received any
assistance. I can't use any Open Office on this machine in Linux
(although it works fine on my laptop, and on various machines I've
installed for clients). I can understand that perhaps there's
something about my hardware (or my Linux installation) that means I
just have to accept it won't work, but I don't think just marking it
'RESOLVED' is a good solution.

I tried a complete virgin install of RH9 on the same machine; same
problem. If it helps 'spadmin' doesn't suffer from the problem.

I don't understand haw it was upgraded to 'Confirmed' and then moved
to 'Resolved' with no action taken.

If there's any more info I can give that might help identify it please
do let me know.

Hi, Sorry about the delay. I've now tried it on Open Office 1.1.0
and it seems fixed. Many thanks for your help.
