Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 15578
OOo crashes when attempting to format a cell
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:55:29 UTC
When working on a very simple speadsheet (some numbers, some multiplications and additions), trying to reach the "Format cell" dialog box through the "Format menu", Cell" item, caused OOo (1.1beta2) to crash on me. This appeared in the terminal windows from which I launched OOo : /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1Beta/program/soffice.bin: relocation error: /opt/OpenOffice.org1.1Beta/program/libsvx644li.so: symbol _ZNK19SvxAlignmentTabPage13GetUniqueItemERK10SfxItemSett, version UDK_3_0_0 not defined in file libsal.so.3 with link time reference Setup : Debian GNU/Linux (mostly "stable" (Woody, a. k. a. 3.0) but with some "unstable" (Sid) components), running on AMD Athlon 1 Ghz, 512 Mb RAM ; Xfree 4.2.0 as packaged in Debian unstable.
Where did you install OOo1.1beta2? Is it possible it's picking up libsal.so from an old OpenOffice? An example spreadsheet and explicit recipe would be helpful. (Also, it'd be great if you could send a crash log. See http://kegel.com/openoffice/#dump Don't worry about it if this is too hard to figure out.)
Hi Emmanuel, you added a similar comment quite a while ago to issue #10210. Could it be that you're still using the glibc 2.3.1? Best regards, Peter
OK, this is almost certainly a dupe of issue 10210, curable by upgrading to glibc-2.3.2. Sorry I didn't see that first time around. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 10210 ***
