Description Unknown 2003-06-14 21:06:52 UTC
Hi, thanks for offering a nice office suite.

Japanese-localized OO.o, distributed under contrib/ at mirror
sites, doesn't correctly display messages during installation
and uninstallation.

Most messages (including license text) are unreadable because they suffer very
frequent line-breaks at unexpected locations,
as you can see on the attached screen shots.

I observed this issue on Japanese WinXP SP1, but didn't see
any issue on Japanese Win2000 SP3 and Linux(Vine2.6).

I meant "(including Important Information)".

I don't know who's responsible for the japanese localized OOo build.
Please find out and reassign to the responsible person.

This issue relates to localized installer.
Since 'installation' component didn't receive this,
I turn it to 'l10n'.

I hear Sun exclusively conducts localization into
Japanese.
I, being unable to know Sun-internal resources, have
no clew about who is responsible for installer localization.

The build was uploaded by Sander Vesik, but is he
responsible for this issue?

This issue does not happen with 1.1RC on my machine.
I have no issue report from Japanese users community, either.
So I regard it as fixed.
