Description Unknown 2003-06-15 20:20:29 UTC
Postscript fonts (extension .PFM) are not rendered correctly under WinXP. The
fonts are replaced by the standard font. This worked with OOo 1.01 and is broken
with OOo 1.1 Beta2. The icon for this font in the font selector is a printer.
(With OOo 1.01 it's the TrueType icon.)

This in particular is a show stopper for companies with a special corporate font
(like us: MetaRoman).

Reassigned to US.

PFM = Printer Font Metrics

> The icon for this font in the font selector is a printer.
I consider this a feature (or a bugfix if it WAS different in prior
versions)

Hae??
I assume that the "PostScript Name" string contained in the PFM file
is displayed in the fonts drop down list box. This is how it should be.

us->alpha3000: or do you mean that the document font e.g. in OOo
Writer is defaulted to "Times New Roman"?
Change the default text document font in Tools/Options/Text
document/Basic Fonts Western.
(Otherwise perhaps a glyphfallback isssue => need more information.)

Anyway, pls. provide the following:
1. a screenshot that shows the error
2. a bugdoc
3. at least the PFM file, better also the corresponding font file (if
you have at all)

Promoting to OOo 1.1.; pls. hurry up with the documents, it's already
very late (I'll have to retarget, if I don't have the iformation by
tomorrow 24th. June 03). Re-prioritizing to P3 (P2 is for crashes only!).
Comment 4 ulf.stroehler 2003-06-25 09:44:59 UTC
As said earlier, re-targeting to a later version due to time constraints.
Comment 5 Unknown 2003-07-01 10:14:03 UTC
Sorry, but I must admit, that I cannot reproduce the error anymore.
Maybe it was an reboot related issue. I just tried it and everything
worked fine. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Grrrrr.
Not reproducible. Closing.
