Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 1565
CVS tunnel does not recognize me anymore
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:32 UTC
echo $CVSROOT :pserver:bustamam@thekernel.eng.sun.com:/cvs cvs co sw bustamam: no such user Need access to source code urgently
Bustamam: have you been able to tunnel since the upgrade? remember that we now use this protocol for tunneling: ssh -2 [-options] 2401:localhost:2401 tunnel@openoffice.org, whereas previously we used 2401/2402. -louis
When was the upgrade? I have not been using the tunnel lately, but from anoncvs, but I can't get there within SWAN. How do we change our CVSROOT to reflect the new port?
bustamam: the upgrade I refer to occurred a while ago; it was from tigris classic to SourceCast, an advanced version of Tigris. At that time, we changed the ports for the tunnel to both be 2401. I am not an expert here, but I do not think you need to change the cvsroot; just your tunnel command, as I indicated above. I checked and you are definitely listed as a registered user on openoffice.org. Btw, another potential issue is the address for openoffice.org. It should be: 64.208.42.76 . louis
I'm not running the tunnel, the tunnel is at thekernel.eng.sun.com. I'll try to run the tunnel and see if it works
Maintaining thekernel is a Sun Issue. Please followup in the appropriate Sun internal newsgroup (as you did).
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
