Description Joe Smith 2003-06-17 17:28:20 UTC
Pasting the primary selection (Mouse-Button-2) pastes data in the cell BELOW the
one where the mouse button is clicked.

Steps:

1. Open new spreadsheet
2. Highlight data in another window
3. Click Mouse-button-2 (middle/paste) in cell C3
4. Data appears in cell C4

Update:
This only seems to happen when I paste from Mozilla (1.4rc1), either
an HTML window, a mail message, or a 'Show source' window, but NOT
from a text entry field.

Pasting from another OOo window (or cell) works correctly; pasting
from a shell window works also.

Ok, what seems to be happening is that the selection being pasted is
coming in with formatting and ends up occupying two cells: the one
clicked in and the one below it. Because the top cell ends up blank,
I thought it was empty. Now I see that it has had it's format (font &
size at least) altered by the paste.

I still don't know (nor do I know how to check) if this a Mozilla
problem or in OOo.

Ok, I give up. I've got so many (5) different installations of OOo
and StarOffice that I don't know what I'm running anymore.

This problem is with the earlier beta; the 1.1b2 does NOT do this.

Can I close this? If not, somebody else kill it.

In the immortal words of Ms. Rosanadana - "Never mind".
