EXE files in sources?
Last modified: 2003-06-27 19:50:52 UTC
Oh my God, what is that: pavel@pavel:~/Tmp/ooo_11beta2_src/desktop/res> file *exe saplcard.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows sapllabel.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows scalc.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows sdraw.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows sglobal.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows simpress.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows smath.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows stemplat.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows sweb.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows swriter.exe: MS-DOS executable (EXE), OS/2 or MS Windows We do not provide sources, but we will release this as LGPL thus we have to provide sources! That is simply not legal and we can not do that!
Hi Martin, please have a look.
mh->hro: please comment !
These files where created by me as a temporary solution because setup was not able on windows to create start menu entries with command line arguments. The sources for these files are on my local machine and I wrote these wrappers so don't panic this is not a legal issue. I did not checkin the sources because I was not willing to support this hack - and succeeded: These files are obsolete and no longer used by OOo. I'll remove the files from the CVS repository but this is neither P3 nor 1.1 RC.
Target changed.
So will those binary only files be part of 11rc which we will provide for download or wont? If they will be, we can not release the whole OOo as LGPL and it will be only available under SISSL. Please remove them! I think it IS 11rc issue.
I already stated that those files are not part of the installation set. Just some obsolete files in the cvs repository. Nevertheless OOo 1.1 RC is O.K
Fixed in cws ooo11rc
Thanks!
