Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16169
Adding more than one light source in 3D effect screws things up
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:52:24 UTC
Adding more than one light source in a 3D effect object screws up the hidden surface clipping. Description: Create a 600 point A, change to polygon, color inside red, change to 3D. Rotate to face up and to the right about 15 degrees. Go to 3d effects, add a light, select a color. Click on the check mark to turn on the light. Wallah! When you save the object it reloads ok, but gets screwed up immediately as soon as you fool with the illumination sources.

Maybe this is the fault of OpenGL. Please try the following: go to tools/options/openoffice.org./view/3dview and uncheck the "use OpenGL" option. If this makes the 3D object look better it is the fault of a badly programmed OpenGL driver of your graphic card. You could try to use another driver, this might solve the problem. Please have a look.
