Description bcharlesr 2003-06-30 07:35:20 UTC
System config: 2001 iBook (128 RAM), MacOS X 10.2.6, Apple X11 (beta 3), OOo1.0.3gm
OOo1.0.3gm locks up (force quit OOo by quitting X11 breaks lock) when a user attempts to save
changes made to another users' files saved in public folder. However <docname>.tmp stays in
folder. File Permissions = -rwxrwxrwx Folder Permissions = drwxrwxrwx Users in same group.
Have not confirmed, but suspect also occurs with simpress, sdraw, scalc, etc.
Comment 1 fa 2003-07-02 19:47:32 UTC
Re-assigning to me since this is probably a Mac OS X only issue.

HI->TM: occurs also with simpress, sdraw, scalc, etc. is not a
wordprocessor issue.
Comment 3 bcharlesr 2003-07-04 03:14:30 UTC
I suspect it is an installer issue. I have seen no multi-user install option, like Lin or
Win installs. I do not have this problem in multi-user installs on those platforms.
Have not tried single-user installs on them, though, so cannot compare directly.
Comment 4 terryt 2003-07-14 02:55:20 UTC
FYI, by default OOo v1.0.3GM on Mac OS X is a multi-user install. The overall
permissions are those of the account used to install OOo, but for each user
using OOo, individual preferences and their permissions are created (on first
time use) for those accounts. I haven't tried to reproduce yet.

Any new cognitions?
Comment 6 terryt 2003-08-09 17:37:06 UTC
There was some recent discussion on a similar issue on the OOo for Mac OS
X support forums. More investigation is required.
Comment 7 jjmckenzie 2006-03-24 03:53:23 UTC
This is an old 1.0.3 issue. If problem still exists we need a new issue. James
