Hey jack
fine, that you will take care:
yes, graphical text (mass-text from the graphical fly-out) can still
not be set to fixed line-spacing (OO.o.1.1 fin)

have a look and you will understand, why this is - esp. for
graphic-purpose - a strange leftout

Comment 5 jack.warchold 2003-11-17 09:22:06 UTC
can you please tell me if i understand you right?

i choose the textfield from the toolbars drawfunctions
entered some text in the field.
then looked for the paragraph dialog and try to set line spacing for
the text in the textfield. -> not possible.

so if this is what you tryed to do, i can confirm your issue.

but i have to look if this is a bug or a must bee.

please just tell me if i got this issue right.

Comment 6 mhatheoo 2003-11-17 11:11:59 UTC
@jack

hello
yes, absolutly right:
all line-spacing-methods from paragraph are working fine, except the
one "fixed", which is just missing.

(bytheway: "all" is not reaaly true:
"leading" (german: Durchschuss) should make a negative value also
possible - but this is another story)

Just to point out again, where the problems are:
"grafical" needs to set absolut values for the objects, to have them
fully controlled in: position (also a little problem), size, spacing
etc. - hope this helped

yes it does, the textfield is a object from OOo draw, i just looked in
this application and yes it is missing here too.

reassigned to the default owner of the drawing team
set version to OOo1.1
set Os to all.

i hope they can help you

I think the missing 'Line spacing' 'fixed' in Impress Draw is a
Feature and not a bug.
Please have a look.
Comment 12 mhatheoo 2003-11-19 17:29:55 UTC

Comment 15 mhatheoo 2004-10-29 14:04:54 UTC
mistake from my side

the feature Fixed-Line-Spacing
- has made it into "frames"
- did not made it into "grafical text" from the drawing fly-out

my fault, nothiong to close with this issue (status: OO.o 1.1.3)

Someone might set this issue to a higher level, it is obvious.

OO.o 1.4 and 1.9m62

set linespacing to fix within graphical text is still missing.
Wonder, why it should not make it to 2.0 ?

Martin
Comment 17 mhatheoo 2005-11-03 18:16:18 UTC
this may be closed, as "fixed" line-spacing within frames is a working feature
of OO2.0 now

oops - sorry - I looked at the wrong place :
nothing is fixed within graphical text - fixed line-spacing is still missing

btw:
I look whether fixed line-spacing is working within frames.
Yes, it is working - but with a mislead concept, and that is the same as in
graphical text: setting line-spacing is related to ALL lines within that
object/frame, but it should be related to the selection only.

so these both need a fresh-up of the concept, I guess.
