is it time to cvs remove apiwww/5.2 (excluding index.html)

Try from getting there via links from http://api.openoffice.org! You
won't.  I don't know why Jürgen SChmidt did not remove the 5.2
directory completely.  I will ask him when he is back from vacation.

Setting target "not determined".  This task does not go into a
product, thus I cannot set any other target.

The SDK is linked from
http://www.sun.com/software/star/staroffice/5.2/developer/
Therefor I would leave 5.2/index.html in place.

apiwww/5.2 is removed from CVS, but the website still shows ist.
Example: http://api.openoffice.org/5.2/reference/global-index-d.html

This problem cannot be fixed by me, a webmaster has to remove the files.
