Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 16444
help-tip popup-window impairs screen rendering while scrolling
Last modified: 2003-10-28 17:28:20 UTC
Hi, When scrolling through a large document, using either the scroll-bar or mouse-wheel, the popup-window help-tip showing the page number and section title is a very nice feature (good work!) BUT, the popup-window tends to mess up the screen rendering of items directly under the tip-window. The mis-rendered area persists after the tip-window has disappeared and a repaint event must be forced (e.g. scroll the affected area off the screen and back on, or change the OO-main window size) to redraw it. Obviously, I can turn the help tips off, but the popup scroll info would be a nice feature if it could be implemented without ruining the rendering during the scrolling. cheers, Bryan
Just checked...this problem is only evident when scrolling by dragging the scroll-bar. Scrolling by using the mouse-wheel is unaffected, presumably because the scroll-step size is more predictable with the mouse-wheel. Bryan
