When addin a formula in the text editor with "=", for example the one from the 
Help
a^2+b^2=c^2 %% Pythagorean theorem.
the equality sign "=" appears as "-".
(Most formulas do have =:)

The Issue you raised has been marked as 'Resolved' and not updated within the
