Description tuharsky 2003-07-07 09:35:24 UTC
I use Debian 3.0r1 woody with GNOME 1.4. After installation of OOo beta2 build
5, menu items are generated to access OOo applications but they are not
functional and without icons. The problem came in when I specified other
installation destination folder than default -I gave /home/peto/OpenOffice
instead of default OpenOffice.org11beta etc.. My exploration shows that it seems
like .setup installator dosen't use destination folder given by user when is
generating menu items, and forces the default folder. So it won't work, because
OpenOffice is installed to custom folder, but the items are generated for
default one.

I've tried to reproduce with OOo 1.1RC on my Woody box with Gnome 1.4.
I've changed the default 'OpenOffice.org1.1' to 'OpenOffice.org'
The Menu entries are ok and working, OOo 1.1 is starting from menu.

Hm, strange. I try it again and it works. What was wrong first time?
Don't know..

I don't know what has happend. Maybe a 'I don't like mondays'
phenomenon? :-))

I'd understand it if I was under M$, but such a behavior with
GNU/Linux, I'm concerned about this :-)
