Description rblackeagle 2003-07-23 01:11:32 UTC
To reproduce:

Mark any number of adjacent cells and Format > Merge > Define to merge them.

Put anything into another cell. Ctrl-C (copy) that cell.

Paste into the merged cells.

Result: Merger of cells is removed and the text or numbers are now in one of the
merged cells.

Expected results: Paste would simply enter it into the merged cells as if the
merged cells were one cell.

Sorry to add this late, but if you will "Paste Special" and exclude
everything except exactly what you are copying, it seems to leave the
merged cells alone (I tested with numbers and formulas).

Hi Robert,

I declare this as a double of 11402 nevertheless it's not the same but
closely related to it.

Frank
