Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17342
Postscript Fonts not being used in PDF Export of MSWord Doc
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
My company uses a postscript font (bembo) for some of its communications. The true type version of this font is non-embedeble but the post script version is. So we use the postscript font inside win2k machines, which uses adobe's typemanager to enable the OS to render postscript fonds as though they were ttf fonts. Both MS Office and OOo can open docs using the postscript font and render them properly. But when I click on the export to pdf button in OOo the postscript gets substituted out for another font. Is this a bug or limitation of OOo or just a simple pdf export oversight? JBA

pl->hdu: please make SalGraphics::GetEmbedFontData work on Windows :-)
If only the Win32 font API provided access to non-TTF fonts file data this would be very easy...
