Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 1759
After installation running soffice core dumps
Last modified: 2003-09-08 16:53:51 UTC
After a clean installation into $HOME/OpenOffice.org638, running $HOME/OpenOffice.org638/soffice immediatly core dumps with the message "Aborted (core dumped)" Binaries aren't compiled with -g (?) so gdb gives no useful info. --- backtrace #0 0x40ccf861 in ?? Hi Ashley, I've tried to install and to run OOo 638C on a standard Debian 2.2 system. I've had no problems to do so (see 1678). Am I right, you've compiled OOo by yourself?
It was the version I downloaded. The thought of compiling for 12hours doesn't excite me ;-) I'll try it again as Debian unstable had a bad libc at one stage and I think I installed it using the bad version. I have sinced apt-get update'ed to the newest version and it still doesn't work, but it might be that the installation didn't work properly. I'm currently on holidays in Sweden (from Australia) so I'll try again when I get back.
Hey,enjoy your holidays in Sweden :-))
.
No answer fot three month may be a hint that it's ok by now.
No further information, seems to work now.
