Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 17978
Problems with Transfer from OOo-Writer to PocketPC (2002) PocketWord
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:41:36 UTC
I have testet to save a writer-document as PocketPC-File(PocketWord). I use OOo1.1RC2 on a SuSE 8.2 box. The file converts to PocketPC-Format, but not completly. 1.) The german vowel mutation doesn't appear in the converted File: two examples: in the original: "Eindruck der Fähigkeiten von" converts to: "Eindruck der Figkeiten von" in the original: "ist nicht möglich" converts to: "ist nicht mglich" The document, I convertet, can You find on Issue 7945 (ES-Impress-neu1c). 2.) Problems are also in converting documents with style sheets. Have a look at the document on the Issue above. I put the convertet document with the errors as attachment on this Issue
Created attachment 8316 [details] The convertet Document with the defects
Does this help? http://xml.openoffice.org/xmerge/
I think the explanation on the side of xmerge don't help. I used the integrated filters of OOo1.1RC2. They produced the bug (german vowel mutation). The problems with Styles: O.K., they are not yet build in.
jw: reassigned to jw
jw: reassigend to mmaher set status to p3
.
Moving to OO 2.0
Moving to Office Later
I looked with the midnight commander (linux) into a psw-file with german vowel mutation. In the file now I am able to see the ö,ü,ä (...). But on the PocketPC there are no ö,ü,ä (...). I think, the problem should be more a of the formats for display.
Problem should be fixed for OOo2.0, but with smaller priority than the word filter
MM: Moving to MRU so it can be re-assigned to OO 2.0
re-assigned to OC, as QA representative for Pocket Word stuff...
