In OOo 1.1 Beta2 Format > Cells as text doesn't seem to do anything (remains as
number).

Hi,

this works as intended.

Calc doesn't calculate with text values even if they look like
numbers. So setting a text format on a cell after typing some numbers
doesn't change the format for this entry but if you type a new number,
this will be text.

So I close this one as invalid.
