Description mikemaccana 2001-10-06 01:11:46 UTC
According to KDEs style guidelines:
 16 x 16
 32 x 32
 48 x 48
 64 x 64 (optional but highly recommended)

These will be installed the heirarchy beneath $KDEDIR/share/icons

Icons should generally be in highcolor, and modern KDE releases will
downsample highcolor images for lowcolor displays, though native lowcolor
icons obviously look better on low color displays.

According to GNOMEs style guidelines:
48 x 48, which must keep their clarity and looks when rescaled to 20 x 20.

These will be installed in $GNOMEDIR/share/pixmaps.

GNOME and its icons are not designed for low color displays.

REassigned to Falko.

We are actually working on system integration on major
platforms/window managers. KDE is on our list and of course we will
take care of KDE's guidelines.

FL->STS: Please close this issue, if OOo already supports the following icon sizes:

 16 x 16
 32 x 32
 48 x 48
 64 x 64 (optional but highly recommended)

yes, we support these icon sizes.
As well as all required color depths.
