Description timcastle 2003-08-12 14:43:53 UTC
When I clicked on dbf files with legacy version they opened in Calc. Now with
RC2 they open in writer. Database file should open in Calc, shouldn't they?
Comment 1 timcastle 2003-10-10 13:29:52 UTC
Installed 1.1 Final. Now when I click on dbf files I get two opened
documents; the dbf file and an untitled calc document.
Comment 2 timcastle 2003-10-10 13:41:32 UTC
Some dbf files open in writer, in former versions they opened in
calc. When this happens I still get two open documents as in last
post.
Comment 3 timcastle 2003-10-10 13:43:19 UTC
Some dbf docs open in writer, others in calc. All open with
additional untitled calc doc.
Comment 4 jack.warchold 2003-11-13 18:04:46 UTC
can you please attach a dbf document to make it more easier to
reproduce this behavior?

so, i talked to some developers, OOo never made automatic
registrations of dbf files. so if i click on a dbf file xp tells me
that there is no registered progam for such files. have you build the
the link to OOo by your own? or do i missunderstood what you did?
Comment 8 timcastle 2003-12-01 14:40:38 UTC
XP asked what program to open file with. I chose OOo. This worked
fine in previous versions.
Comment 9 jack.warchold 2003-12-04 14:51:21 UTC
ok we tested this here on xp, in the way you described, and it opens
fine in a calc spreadsheet no other windows were opend.

i just can set this as wfm

my only tipp on this issue is, make a clean installation of the
office: just deinstall the installed one, remove all registry entrys
and reinstall the office again.
sorry for this.
