Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18179
Table: Draw table manually, resizing the table more flexible
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:19:28 UTC
If I see the Table function of OO: 1. I cannot find tools for drawing the table freely, this sometimes make the table creation/editing easier. Now we have some tools, but I think we need free table drawing. Including the eraser. 2. I also cannot resize the table by drag and drop for the height , for the width I can resize it by drag and drop. I hope we can have this too Thanks, Utomo
This is many times useful to edit existing table, or to create new table.
SBA: Reassigned to Bettina from the User Experience team for consideration.

Yes. I also want to request this to be added in new feature. Here is my post in OOOforum.org: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=56190#56190

Hi Mathias, I have changed the current owner to your owner. Please take the ownership of these enhancements.
Add please this pencil for tables
Needs analogue MS Exel -" Borders " - " Draw borders " , without it to draw table it is difficult
IBM Lotus Symphony 1.1 has this feature already. What relations in licensing between OOo and Lotus Symphony? Is it possible (in technical and licensing means) to port it to OOo?
If you want to know if something in Symphony can be ported to OOo you should ask IBM, I don't know anything about this. As large parts of the Symphony GUI is written in Java I think there is a technical hurdle anyway.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
