Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 18500
Errors at web pages
Last modified: 2003-12-14 15:56:41 UTC
Hi, http://qa.openoffice.org/testcase/assertions/install/install01.html contains those errors: - For Linux Red Hat, you use Solaris test machine - the same for Windows - Java 1.3.1 is not supported in 1.1 - do not use OpenOffice when talking about OpenOffice.org The page http://qa.openoffice.org/testcase/index.html contains bad URL in "Also see release notes under at www.openoffice.org".
Anyone taking care about this report?
Obviously not :-( Robert, with the upcoming testing of localized builds for 1.1 it might be a good idea to update the test instructions. If you hesitate to use CVS you might want to upload an updated set of files to the files area of the qa project. Thanks, Stefan
It would be good if they are in CVS and ready to translate by Native-Lang teams. If the test case needs sample file, please provide it at that page too.
Agreed, Pavel. I thought to make Robert's life easier and offer to commit the content he might provide in the file area. Greetings, Stefan
The system requirements listed at (Linux) http://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/instructions.html refers to JRE1.3, this is for 1.1rc2(or later) OO.org 1.1rc4 recognises JRE 1.3.1_04 during the install and it also is able to execute a java applet with this JRE. Can you point to some documentation stating what JRE's are supported in OO.org 1.1 please, if 1.3.1 is not supported please specify what JRE's are supported. Thanks.
JA: I don't see a reason to leave this issue open unless all of the bugs in http://qa.openoffice.org/testcase/assertions/install/install01.html have been fixed.
JA: closing issue
Something is wrong with that page - unclosed tag or similar, because all text is in red instead of blue. Do you see it too?
It seems to be fixed right now.
Closing.
