Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19183
bug importing table from .rtf
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:48 UTC
I've a .rtf file containing a table, but OOo cannot display it correctly.
Created attachment 9068 [details] .rtf file showing the bug
reproduced with OOo1.1RC4 reassigend to mru
set taget to 2.0
MRU->CMC: simple table at first sight. There are too many columns after import (not really visible, but you can travel through the table) and their widths are too large.
Accepted anyway.
Another issue with tables in rtf, probably related: http://chef.studentenweb.org/OO/wrongTables.rtf the columns get mixed up, as does the numbering. It should look like this: http://chef.studentenweb.org/OO/wrongTables.pdf The Word document format gets imported correctly http://chef.studentenweb.org/OO/wrongTables.doc screenshots of OO / Word can be found at : http://chef.studentenweb.org/OO/ greets, Dominique De Munck
(I accidently set the issue to RESOLVED, btw I use OO 1.1)
back to accepted/started
cmc->mmaher: Reassigning
Because of a shortage of resources we're not able to promise to fix this issue for OOo 2.0
Hi, My Software Config : Windows XP SP2, OpenOffice.org 1.1.3 My Hardware Config : Mobile AMD Athlon 1.20Gz 256MB RAM Confirm replication of bug. Applied the following test cases Test1 : Tried to create an rtf file with a table and some values, using OpenOffice and then open the file again in OpenOffice Result : Successfully opened. Test 2 : create the same in MSOffice Word XP and then open with OpenOffice. Result : Successfully opened. Test 3 : Test 2 + out on some borders for the table and then save the file in Word and open in OpenOffice Result : Failed. Conclusion : I think the problem arises when some border is put on top of the table. The table.rtf file had a border on the table, hence it didn't work. Without the border, it opened fine.
