Currently, the only way to restart paragraph numbering is by editing the
paragraph you want to restart or by using the toolbar. I would like to be able
to defin it in a paragraph style.

There are a bunch of Numbering styles
that exist already, with names like "Numbering 1 Start", "Numbering 1
Cont." and "Numbering 1 End". Those are the styles I tried to use, because
I figured they would be configured properly. But they aren't. And the
reason is, there is no way to restart paragraph numbering from within a
paragraph style, as far as I can tell.

I know FrameMaker had this feature and it can be very useful.

I have tried release 3, but have seen that it does not resolve the issue.
This issue is VERY important because when working with styles one should
never resort to apply manual formatting to anything. It is also contrary
to the XML approach of separation between contents and formatting that
requires that all formatting be kept in styles.
Other word processors have this feature. Not having it makes transition
from other word processors to OO Writer quite cumbersome.

I would like to raise the priority to P2.
