Description gherlin 2003-09-16 14:02:59 UTC
Trying to edit an imbedded excel worksheet in a word document fails with
General OLE Failure. Also, there is no Edit entry in the alt-click menu for
that object (probably for the same reason).
OOo 1.0.2 has better behaviour.

BTW, no possibility to attach test file for this problem on this site!

Hi Gherlin --

I was unable to reproduce the behavior you reported (RH9/OOo 1.1)

If you are still experiencing this problem, please provide more
details as to exactly how to reproduce the problem.

Thanks,

Tam

The issue is resolved by setting the
Tools->Options->Load/Save settings to use OO components instead of
MS components. This problem applies only to people who do not have
MS Office (linux users and W32 users).
I don't understand why these are set this way. Nor have I examined
any MS license issues.
Anyway, thanks for the help.
