Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 19807
IZ performance makes testing impossible
Last modified: 2003-12-06 14:52:32 UTC
IZ performance makes testing and evaluation impossible. Any IZ action takes over 20 seconds. File a new issue, start the component selection page takes 30-50 seconds http://test.solstage2.sfo.collab.net/issues/enter_bug.cgi Editing my user prefs takes 70 secs. http://test.solstage2.sfo.collab.net/issues/editusers.cgi?action=edit&user=st Searching for a user with the pattern 'stx' takes 5min http://test.solstage2.sfo.collab.net/issues/editusers.cgi? action=list&matchstr=stx During these actions no other sessions were active.
Two points: 1)The staging server is not to be used for performance testing. Based on my prior e-mail communication, we clearly stated the hardware limitations of the staging server. This documented limitation makes IZ performance comparisons meaningless. With that said, you have discovered: 2)There is a known IZ performance problem in the 2.6.0 build currently used on the staging server. The problem is under review and rework within CollabNet. The fixes will be generated into a new build of the 2.6.0 product and made available for your review and approval.
IZ performance issues have been solved in build TR1. This may not be evident given the limitations of the hardware used for the staging environment.
This issue is resolved according to Steve. We will verify as soon as the staging server is available again.
Performance is sufficient for testing of the functionality.
