Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 2063
Copy & Paste from Xterm/Konsole support
Last modified: 2003-03-11 17:58:50 UTC
I am running KDE 2.1.2 and have been using Star Office 5.2 for some months. I tried upgrading to Open Office build 638c and i find i can no longer copy text from an Xterm or Konsole window into an OpenOffice document, - can this be returned to the next version? Thanks for an otherwise great product..
Reassigned to Ulf.
I tested also with Gnome instead of KDE, same problem. I see cutting and pasting is generally a little strange. It is very slow and sort of works with cutting from Netscape and pasting to OpenOffice, but it pastes the source code by default. Cutting and pasting from Abiword works but is very slow to paste. Cutting and pasting from Evolution to OpenOffice doesn't work. Cutting and pasting from one OpenOffice presentation slide set to another presentation document doesn't work in SlideView mode (where you can see all the slides). hope this helps..
This task became a collective bug lately. Collective bugs are not acceptable as no one can handle them. Please describe allways only one problem in one bug! Concentrating on the KDE <-> OOo Copy and Paste problem. Please file new, seperated Issues for the other mentioned problems in this task. Xselection (select text with mouse button 1 and paste it with button 2) between OOo and KDE has been fixed lately. Should be in next build. The clipboard aspect (Ctrl+C/V) is double to #2345#. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 2345 ***
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
