Please try this:
Open the attached .doc file
Save as .doc
Open the attached .doc file
Save as .doc
etc
...and see the picture in page 2 grow and grow...

I can Reproduce the problem on 
OpenOffice 1.1 (default Install, US), Win XP Pro Sp1. 
(And MS Office XP Sp2). 
It is real problem

to reproduce as described by reporter. 
the UMIC logo will become bigger when opening again.

MRU->CMC: The graphic has croppiung attributes. The export nearly
doubles the vertical size every time saved.
