Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 22122
Toolbar button "table border" also changes inner cell margins
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:25:49 UTC
In a table with a manually decreased inner cell margin of below 0.1 cm (standard) the toolbar button "table borders", which is supposed to create nice frames around the cells, also sets the inner cell margin back to 0.1 cm. This bug can be easily reproduced by doing following steps: - Insert a table in a blank document. - Fill table with contents - For whole table or section set the inner cell margin to below 0.1 cm (f.e. 0.2 cm). - Click on the toolbar's "table borders" button to change/set/remove borders to/from the table. -> The cells will regain their original inner argins (and therefore their original size). If this is so on purpose I would suggest to remove this "minimum inner cell margin". Living without it would make working with small-sized/bordered tables MUCH easier. Reported in OOo1.1 with WinXP.
Created attachment 10953 [details] A table with reduced inner margins to try out what is described.
Can confirm this with the bugdoc, with cell margins set to values less than 0.10 cm, e.g. 0.09, 0.08 ... 0.02. Choose borders from toolbar, these values are reset to 0.10 cm.
HI->FME: Table should keep the user settings.
FME->OS: Looks like a ui issue.
.
This issue is also reproducible in OOo 2.0
Still reproducable in 2.4.1 Windows
Still there in 3.1. Another instance when this is showing up: Copy a table from Calc, insert it as "formated text (rtf)". The table will have no (or pretty small) margins. When setting the border via the toolbar all margins are reset and your table screwed up. The button should IMHO only set the border, but NOT the margins.
Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org".
