You can check the md5sums now shortly after uploading by going to
sf1.mirror.openoffice.org/md5.

Is "sf1.mirror.openoffice.org/md5" meant literally?
There are no md5 files on sf1, neither in the 638c nor in the 641b
directory nor toplevel.
I think, it make sense to have the md5 sums in the directories.

well, the url appears to trigger a magic script that shows lots of
md5sums...

The url, sf1.mirror.openoffice.org/md5 produces md5sums in quantity. These are 
not for the casual viewer but for the likes of sander and me. I totally agree it would 
be far easier if these were partitioned according to relevant directory, just because 
it makes it easier to check them. I will see if our collabnet technicians will do this....
Meanwhile, i've posted easy-to-read md5sums in the "latest_build" directory.
