Description hesse 2003-11-08 10:09:47 UTC
I used conditional hyphens in a heading and was surprised to see them in the
navigator as normal hyphens. That does not look very good. Maybe it is possible
to ignore them there or even better to use them in the way they are used for: as
conditional hyphens.

It would be nice if this could be solved until the navigator content is used in
PDF export as pdfmark.
(tested with winxp and linux)

please attach a document showing this behaviour. i know it would be
easy to create one, but it always is easier to reproduce a issue on a
document, that shows it allready. so we can be shure that we exactly
reproduce the reported behaviour..

I added a sample document. I included in the swx a screenshot, so that
you can see it directly. I dont think there is any need for the
conditional breaking in the navigator as the navigator has no
breakings at all.

OOo is not able to create pdf-marks even if the conditional hyphens
were not visble in the navigator.

so i will reassign this to bh for future releases

please enable the creation of pdf-marks for the pdf-export

Confirming issue. But this is not an Enhancement. Conditional hyphens (or
"optional hyphenation points") are a helpful feature to have them in the
document text. Their display in the document can be switched off via
Tools-Options-OooWriter-Formatting Aids, check box "Custom Hyphens".

In the Navigator, they should NEVER be shown as they can not be distinguished
from "regular" hyphens and (as JW wrote) within the Navigator window, there is
no line break anyway.

Note that the chapter name tooltip (i.e. when scrolling vertically through a
multi-page document) also shows these custom hyphens.
I do not know if this may get fixed along the way or requires another issue.

I do not know what this PDF mark thingie is about. This issue is about display
in Navigator while having a document open. For PDF-Export stuff, re-verify in
latest OOo version and submit a new issue.
