Description con.hennessy 2003-12-09 12:16:53 UTC
The development digests are over 800k and therefore hit the current 50K limit allowed on
the project. Please increase this limit in the project attributes.

P.S. There does not seem to be project in IZ for development.

I am not aware of their being a 50K limit. Support would you look at this?
Comment 2 Unknown 2003-12-10 18:04:56 UTC
which downloads are you referring to? are you referring to the documents&files
section?
Comment 3 con.hennessy 2003-12-10 20:03:21 UTC
The following is over 800k but yet only about 50k is downloaded.

If it was downloaded correctly the last piece of text loaded would be

Where is that html file located? cvs? documents&files? I can't find it
Comment 5 con.hennessy 2003-12-10 23:58:19 UTC
cvs status cvs48.html shows :
   Repository revision: 1.29 /cvs/development/www/digest/cvs48.html,v

So I guess in the development project.

raising priority of this.

in looking at /cvs/development/www/digest/cvs8.html, (v.1.29), I see it is 832kb. In opening the
file, i see that the terminus is as cph describes. In opening the file in BBEdit, I was informed that
the file may be corrupted. Advice: CPH, can you reload it? Also, perhaps break into pages?

Hi there!

http://www.openoffice.org/source/browse/cvs/development/www/digest/cvs48.html-i
went to this page and clicked on download and i saw the full file and ofcourse
as you said i am able to view the last text.

HEAD was changed by Philipp Lohmann(pl)
added :
gsl/vcl/unx/dummy

I dont find any problem like what Louis points here. And here i want to
understand whats the problem you are facing. Are you not able to view the full
file or you tried downloading it and you cannot do so?

Th URL you provide does work but this is the file in CVS view *not* in the sourcecast view.
The file when seen in the sourcecast view *must* be seen thru the link :
http://development.openoffice.org/digest/cvs48.html
Even though it *should* be the same file with the same length, the second link only provides 60k of the
first link ! this must be a problem in the configuration of sourcecast.
Comment 10 lsuarezpotts 2003-12-17 20:18:09 UTC
i fixed it the problem with development/www/digest/cvs48.html

The resolution: I followed jack r's comment in PCN 24774, where he states,
"ah: the file cvs48.html has an illegal character. It claims to be UTF-8 (at the top, in the META tag),
but character 62638 is a "u" with an umlaut, character code 0xfc, which is an illegal character in
UTF-8.

Here's the line in question, with "XXX" inserted where the u-umlaut was:
<a name='cws_src680_geordi2q10'></a><a name='cws_src680_geordi2q10_rt'></a><div
class="mergedbranch">cws_src680_geordi2q10 was changed by RXXXdiger Timm(rt) [ <a
href='#merged_geordi2q10'>and it was merged</a> ]</div>"

and replaced the offending character (for Rudiger) with a simple u--cph, you can get fancier--then
reloaded the document. It renders properly now.
thanks
