From the styles window make sure you are viewing paragraph styles.

Right-click and select New...

I set up my styles one tab at a time from left to right starting with
Organizer then move into the back row by select Numberings and then move from
one tab left to right.

That should do it.

Organizer Tab:
- I set the next style the same as the style name I just created.

confirmed. ALso on Linux. Seems particularly sensitive to having background
changed during definition.

reproducible -> setting crash keyword, confirming

Notice that the crash only occurs when you are on the background-tab when
clicking OK.

I tried this several times with different variations on 680m20 on WinXP, and
could not get it to crash. Perhaps the bug was fixed in the new codeline?

Hi Eric,
We (fr project) have tested it under 1.1.1 and Windows 98, XP and Linux MDK 9.2
and it seems that the problem is solved, no more crash when you try to reproduce
the bug.

Kind regards
Sophie

I can confirm Sopie's observation on XP us_en
Comment 9 lohmaier 2004-04-05 20:11:03 UTC
since I don't know of any specific fix for this issue and the issue does no
longer occur with the current stable build - (works here too) - I set this issue
to worksforme.
Comment 10 lohmaier 2004-04-05 20:11:45 UTC
closing issue. Please reopen if the problem occurs again.
