Description joeclarkia 2004-01-31 08:08:31 UTC
Currently, OOO puts <LI> text within <P></P> tags, adding an extra line to
each item in a bulleted list. Is this standard? I personally would prefer it
without the <P> tags (for a list that takes up less screen space).

I see this hasn't really been addressed. For me, the OOo WYSIWYG HTML editing
(in general) is not optimal. When I say HTML editor, I mean *HTML* editor, not
"word processor that exports to HTML". I guess this isn't what OOo is designed
for, although with a few minor enhancements it could be made much more HTML
friendly.

Note: For the last 10 years almost my "standard" has been Claris Home Page. It
was quite simple to use, and not extraordinarily full featured, but it was a
real WYSIWYG HTML editor, not a word processor. I liked that.

I have verified that this issue is still present in version DEV300m53 (Build:9412).

joeclarkia, thanks for your comments, but it's better to put general comments
like that in the mailing lists instead of here. We try to use the issue tracker
to talk about individual issues, not about general ideas for improving OOO.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
