Description ycopin 2004-02-04 17:47:57 UTC
When changing some layout properties in the Master View (e.g. title area
properties, or bullet properties), these changes are applied to the slides in
the Slide Mode, but the Master View remains the same. Very confusing.

In the test case I attached, you'll see that the 3rd-level bullet is bluish in
the Slide Mode, while Dark Violet in the Master View. Or that there's no Title
background in the Slide Mode, while there's a gradient in the Master View.
Still, the slide layout was not manually modified in anyway.

I can see the bug in the attached document but I can't reproduce the bug.
Please have a look if you can see whats going wrong.
Comment 5 clippka 2004-02-06 11:44:15 UTC
The reason is that the presentation shape on the master page is hard formated.
This should not happen since only presentation styles are used for presentation
shapes on the drawing page. It is not possible to set hard attributes on
presentation shapes on the masterpage over the ui. So either there is a bug that
under some circumstances this is still possibile, which I could not reproduce,
or the document was created using an older version of StarOffice where we had
problems with this (5.2 and older)
Comment 6 ycopin 2004-02-06 19:33:44 UTC
I was not able to to define a clean procedure to reproduce the bug, however, it
happenned to me few times before I did submit. The whole test case was produced
in OOo 1.1.

I found a way to reproduce the bug.
- start an Impress with an Title text layout
- change to the masterpage
- select an outline level and delete it
- create an textbox
- write some text and switch the bullet on
- select the text
- copy paste the text in the empty outline level.

- change to the masterpage
- select all outlines (click on the bullet of the first outline)
- delete the outlines
- click beside the outine textbox

Another way to reproduce this bug:
1. Create empty presentation
2. Switch to Master view
3. Add a Background Graphic, either by simply loading or by using bitmap filling
of page
4. Try to change bullets
You won't see it in the master, but You see it in the slides

If You
1. create empty presentation
2. Switch to master View
3. Change the bullets
4. Add a Background Graphic
everything is OK.

Ah, ycopin tried in OOo 1.1, I tried this in OOo 2.0.2, so the bug still works.
