Would be nice to have this function extended from ANSI to unicode. This would 
provide a nice way of converting from old symbol fonts using numerical mapping.

Eike told me that this will not be a simple task but a new function may be possible.

Bettina,

"not a simple task" in the way that simply changing the CHAR() and CODE()
functions to be Unicode aware would probably not  be the way to go, for
compatibility and interoperability reasons. Please find out if the competeting
product offers this functionality, for example in separated functions. I don't
think they changed the existing functions, for the same reasons I wouldn't.

To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on
my owner to the owner "requirements".
