If you have a look at the context menu of the first formula in Word you'll see
that it is a Math Type 5.0 equation which even cannot be edited in e.g. Word
2000 itself for example.
What version of Math Type did your office suite use for the other ones?
If it was Math Type 3.1 it is just not supported. AFAIK the import is only for
Math Type 3 or older thus those formulas gets converted into images.

If you know for sure that the formulas were created with Math Type 3 you may
pass this one back to me.
If it is that the formulas were created with a newer version you may file a
request for enhancement.

Comment 4 thomas.lange 2004-06-07 12:24:10 UTC
TL->MH: The Math Type version used for some of the formulas in the document is
not supported by us.
I'm not sure about MathType 3.1 but AFAIK at least 5.0 is not supported by Word
also.
If it is part of the document I think the user who created the document must
have buyed and installed MathType as standalone product also.

Unless required otherwise by User Experience we only support MathType 3 (or
whatever the correct name of the currenlty supported version fort import is).
Thus I think this one should be set to "won't fix" or "invalid".
